there is definitely a link between covid which is a virus that triggers massive allergic anaphylactic reaction) and the parasites that IVM kills
i went down hard with covid back in february 2020, within hours i had so much pain to cough and i figured out i could suppress the cough by suppressing my respiration (the exact opposite of what the ventilators were doing, ie, allowing CO2 levels to rise is key to stopping the reaction)
not all antiparasitics are the same though... i recently gave my cat an IVM analogue called "moxidectin" and it mostly stopped most of the stuff my cat had but the imidocloprid external/macro antiparasitic did not touch the sinus infection or ear/eye mites my cat has
what's been helping him actually has been cleaning his ears with 3% peroxide and feeding him proper food (stuff i eat except without spices or salt)
there is no doubt that many parasites are adjuncts to macro parasitic behaviours, though i don't think that all of them are so easily resolved
but for sure, some are
