Sorry for necroposting, but I just saw this thread for the first time thanks to nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpq5kjztapc8cm99zvm4cp9knvqrk8mcwt5ga6dvztvudtlaek207vs4jnuh3 repoasting it.
While I don't disagree with it in principle, I don't thinks this:
Reddit is meant to be there as a friend for the friendless, wisdom for the fatherless, community for the estranged.
is a problem per se. Poast and NCD do the same thing, except for a demographic that reddit doesn't care about.
The problem with reddit is rather that it's basically pro-feminist in nature, and doesn't really give a crap about men's issues. Reddit is not interested in having difficult discussions, it only cares about muh feefees, and constantly validating women's opinions at the expense of everything else.
It's a liberal echo chamber that ruthlessly stamps out every contentious opinion for the sake of broad consensus, which of course can only be achieved by lowering the level of discourse down to the lowest common denominator.
