Nobody is preventing the journalists from covering Trump. They can write about him whatever they want. However, the US President has the full right to decide who has access to him and who doesn't. If your "source" doesn't want to meet you and talk to you, that's their goddamn right. There is no 1st Amendment violation. The government isn't passing laws saying what the press can or cannot say. It's just the US President deciding who has access to him and who doesn't.
