I'm given to believe energy has been closed source and unchanging for the last hundred years because it's inherently decentralized but that's sort of been played like a secret. It's really incredible that we've been so apathetic for so long as a species, content with coal and combustion and some crumbs of diesel. Can't wait for the first bitcoiners who revolutionize (non monetary) industries because now they have the freedom to pursue it, but especially in energy.
