The United Arab Emirates has reiterated its firm commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region, emphasizing its historical and steadfast position in defending the rights of the Palestinian people. The UAE has also stressed the need to find a political horizon that leads to a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, as this is the only way to achieve stability in the region. Members of the UAE parliamentary delegation to the Arab Parliament participated in an emergency session held in Cairo under the slogan "Rebuilding Gaza is a duty... and displacing its people is a crime". The session was the third meeting of the first session of the fourth legislative term of the Arab Parliament. The UAE parliamentary delegation included H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al Yemahi, President of the Arab Parliament, Naima Abdullah Al Sherehan, Vice President of the delegation, member of the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women, and Youth Committee, and Mohammed Hassan Al Dhaheri, member of the Economic and Financial Committee. In his speech during the session, H.E. Mohammed Al Yemahi, President of the Arab Parliament, emphasized that dedicating a special session to support the Palestinian people is a national and moral responsibility, and a reaffirmation of the Arab rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land or violate their legitimate rights. He also emphasized the importance of supporting all Arab efforts aimed at rebuilding Gaza and ensuring that its residents remain in their homes. Naima Al Sherehan, during the emergency session, stated that this session comes at a critical time that requires Arab and international efforts to support the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, in the face of humanitarian and economic challenges. She reiterated the UAE's firm commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region and its historical and steadfast position in defending the rights of the Palestinian people. She also stressed the need to find a political horizon that leads to a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, during the session, emphasized that the humanitarian crisis faced by civilians in Gaza, which has lasted for over 15 months, requires immediate international intervention, which the UAE has consistently emphasized in all forums, highlighting the importance of calling for international efforts to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid. He stated that the UAE's actions in support of the Palestinian people and rejection of any attempts to displace them embody its consistent and steadfast position with the Arab position. The Arab Parliament's statement, issued at the end of the emergency session, reiterated its categorical rejection of any plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people in any way, emphasizing its commitment to international law and international resolutions that support the Palestinians' right to return to their homeland and live with dignity on their land. The Parliament considered the statements calling for the displacement of Palestinians to be a clear violation of international law and international legitimacy, as well as a contradiction to the principles of human rights and the Palestinian people's right to live on their land. The Parliament emphasized the need to provide complete support to the Palestinian people in their struggle to maintain their land and achieve all their non-negotiable rights, including their right to return, self-determination, and the establishment of their independent state with its capital in Jerusalem. The Parliament called on international and regional parliaments to urge their governments to protect these rights and support the Palestinian people's steadfastness in the face of plans and initiatives aimed at erasing the Palestinian issue. It also called on the international community to bear its moral and legal responsibility to stop these violations and support humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, who are being subjected to Israeli aggression and are struggling to exercise their legitimate rights.
