I'm using OpenWRT on an AMD APU4 for my router from the FTTP ONT and the router feeds my home network. But I'm wondering whether to recycle an old Intel i5 PC and fit 2 x 2.5Gb cards and setup pure #FreeBSD for my router using pf for firewall and so forth. Or do I go the OpnSense route with a PC ? What would you recommend as I don't mind getting my hands dirty, plus I'm not intimidated by not having a web based setup, CLI is fine if it works. Bottom line is I'm really not feeling OpenWRT.
