#WritersCoffeeClub 26 Did your childhood affect the way/what you write?
Until I was 10 or so I was sickly and missed a lot of school. There was a bookcase on display in the living room including some classics that no one was probably expected to read, bound in sets of 3: the prose Odyssey, Iliad and Aristotle, 3 volumes of Dickens, Defoe and Erasmus, and 4 other books. When I ran out of 'age-appropriate' library books, I attacked them. It did things to my worldview as well as my reading level.
