In Netherlands succeeded in closing down part of ops.
Tata Steel is the largest CO₂ emitter and the largest nitrogen emitter in the Netherlands. Tata Steel also produces, emits and discharges large quantities of pathogenic substances, including lead, mercury, nickel, naphtalene and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The incidence of lung cancer near the steel plant is 51% higher than the national average.
