Panama's President assured that more than 2,000 migrants, mostly Venezuelans, have been returned to that country. 🇻🇪🇵🇦
Panama's President, José Raúl Mulino, affirmed that more than 2,000 people have entered Panama this month through the border with Costa Rica in a growing reverse migratory flow, towards the South, after seeing their intention to enter the United States frustrated, while the number of those who insist on going North continues to fall. Mulino said that this February is expected to close with “410 migrants more or less”, mostly Venezuelans, arriving in Panama en route to the North after crossing the dangerous Darien jungle, the natural border with Colombia through which until a few months ago thousands of people a day were transiting.
