So, I'll start with the conclusions: The tests were very good while they did not consider privacy. When introducing privacy requirements (the ones currently required both by law and international treaties), the tests were a complete failure. First of all, performance when steeply down. some privacy solutions took several minutes to complete a transaction for the end user. Then came the big problem: none of the privacy solutions had backdoors that would allow the central bank to identify ilegal transactions and block them. So It failed on their main requirement: being able to control people's money without their consent.
