There are kinda three ways to determine "public truth". Maybe we could call them the mob, money and debate.
Elon and his friends are examples of the first. Post something emotionally triggering and help it take off with social media algos.
The second is the legacy media approach. Own or buy an established audience and only allow on perspectives you support.
The third is what we see on wikipedia. Transparent discussion using sources with a proven record of quality.
