Coins are a rather late development in the grand scheme of money, raw metals were traded by weight before that, and raw commodities before that.
If money was always on a ledger then it would not have expanded beyond individual civilisations - you don’t record on a clay tablet what the heathens who live 5 mountains away owe you and hope they return to make good.

Harry Potter author JK Rowling has taken aim at whining authors who complain that children don't want to read their LGBTQ books.

They've all said the stories have been some of the most original and exciting they've read in a long time but that LGBTQ+ books are too difficult to sell around the world atm."
Last year, the Times reported that many publishing houses had hired inexperienced editors in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement who had paid huge sums for books which subsequently flopped.
