It would be similar with Turkish people. They would name Mustafa Kemal, and various people after the founding of modern-day Turkey, but ask them about ancient Turks of importance and it's difficult to come up with any.
Or maybe I'm stupid... *searches web* Yeah, I think all you'll find is Ottoman sultans (who may or may not be "Turkish") and then maybe the founders and leaders of various Turkic tribes throughout history. We learned about those in history class but I forgot all their names.
Nomadic people are not very likely to contribute to the world's cultural heritage. That's just something you have to accept. It's not like the Egyptians or the Greek, who've been in the same place for millennia.
Of course, there's a major difference from Turks to Palestinians, which is that the latter claim to be an ancient and indigenous people of the region they now live in. If that is so, you would expect them to be able to name some important figures from their localized culture in that region.
Turks make no such claim. The education system in Turkey will openly teach you about the fact that Turkic people came from the Asian steppes and invaded Anatolia about 500 years ago. And then they were known as the Ottoman Empire, not as Turks, for the longest time. Turkish national identity is mostly a 20th century invention, and this is not a secret.
Perhaps it would be good for Palestinians to know this and accept it for what it is, rather than hold on to these myths of a rich indigenous history that makes them feel entitled to the entire region.

I deleted my Twitter account a whole ago, and maybe there's a lot fewer people with freedom tech now as a result, but it was more important to me to stop letting someone else directly profit off of me than it was for me to spread the good word.
If I were actually trying to build a movement, I'd have brand accounts absolutely everywhere. Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube... you name it. Without going to these places, you're largely preaching to the choir. Not very effective at spreading your message.

I ran a really fun 1983 edition of #DND (#OSE) for a group of 7 colleagues at work last night. Half of whom hadn't ever roleplayed before. They got half way through the one shot I wrote due to an overabundance of fun. Two PCs died in the first combat against Kobolds, but I ruled that clerics can lay on hands their level in HP a day, to keep the gaming flowing and to give the 3 clerics something to do.
They all want me to run the 2nd half when I'm back in Denmark next month. Aces. I love D&D

How Much Are You Willing To Sacrifice As A Fed Employee
My mentor died from a heart attack Monday. He was fired last week. He was only a couple of weeks shy of completing his probation. He went to work for the government after retiring because he and his wife were raising their grandkid. Their daughter died from COVID. So now he’s left a wife (who is battling cancer) and a grandkid behind. I keep replaying how messed up this whole situation is. I can’t say all of this killed him, but it damn sure makes a good suspect. I want to be angry, but there just doesn’t seem time to process it. I have no emotion left.Opinions are all across the place on this and other subs on what we should be doing. Feds are divided on how to fight back. Divided on the best way to get the truth out. How to get attention. Well, we know we’ve basically been thrown to the wolves. Now they are setting their eyes on villainizing the military “people have lost trust” they’re saying. We Feds know that line and what they’re reeling to do. They are going to use the same old tactic. Sure everyone is scared. Now may be the time to schedule a sick-out since we can’t strike. I’ve seen that idea floating and it may not be too bad of an idea. They’re going to fire us anyway and it seems the world will be in ashes by the time the wheels of justice kick in, if ever. Talk is cheap. Action costs something. What are your thoughts? I’m willing to listen to any ideas on anything we can collectively do. Bickering among ourselves seems to be getting us nowhere.

Again, you can't read so, I won't waste any more time here. Any questions just read what I already wrote. Those "currencies" you are referring to are not currencies, they would be called money. Anything that can be used non-consumptively as a trade settlement is money. In no case was there a currency that WAS a final settlement. Gold coins for instance are not currency, they are literally a monetary asset.
Physical USD is a fiat asset. Assets ARE the backing. Digital USD is not an asset it is a coupon redeemable for the asset (physical dollars).
You can try to insult all you want, you are wrong and might be the dumbest entity I've had the misfortune of responding to.

PS: If you have a BCC library card, then the password is normally your year of birth unless you’ve changed it.
And if you don’t have a BCC library card, it takes ten minutes to get one from the library itself - there’s a library in most big shopping centres, including Indooroopilly and Toowong Village.
BCC cards also give you access to plenty of ebooks with the Libby app.
