2. **Dezentralisierte Organisation**: Die Apachen waren nicht in einem zentralisierten Reich organisiert, sondern in kleinen, unabhängigen Gruppen, die es schwierig machten, sie zu besiegen.
3. **Anpassungsfähigkeit**: Die Apachen passten sich schnell an die neuen Waffen und Taktiken der Spanier an und entwickelten eigene Strategien, um sie zu bekämpfen.
4. **Geografische Bedingungen**: Das Gebiet, in dem die Apachen lebten, war sehr unwegsam und bergig, was es schwierig machte, Truppen zu bewegen und Nachschub zu liefern.
