This is fascinating. I used to tell my students to read papers and implement the theory as code. Sometimes, this was even the very first implementation of the math people had written up years ago.
Today, I can give an agent a few papers or even let it to do the research itself and come up with a first implementation of the research to see if the idea is worth pursuing or not. It does a better job than most students would.
The learning experience for the student from doing the actual work is missing here – and it can't be replaced – that much is clear. But from a pure research planning perspective, this unlocks a whole new paradigm for exploring new ideas.
We're accelerating fast, in every direction at once.

🤣🫂 I like the idea of putting it there because not only is it easier to find, but sometimes you start writing what you think is going to be a short note, and then you realize it’s pretty long and maybe would be better as an article. It would be amazing if you could just tap that button as you’re composing a short note, and have it automatically load whatever you’ve already written into the article editor. Then you could finish writing, add markdown/formatting, images, etc and publish. Would be a good work flow.

You’re welcome! Habla.news used to be my go to but I don’t think it’s actively developed any more. Primal recently launched their article editor/publisher, on the web only at least for now. Yakihonne has it on their web and mobile apps. So, depending what platform you’re wanting to write on, that might be relevant. I don’t know of any others that are actively developed. Maybe someone else has some to recommend.
