我的英语水平很差,需要继续学习英语。坚持提升英语水平。但是我的中文是具备大学水平。算半个文盲人吧。
-
They’re right that we want separate devices though. Should be like toasters
-
Not devices. Software.
Related use cases are being merged, while any use cases that do exist but are rarely used become simplified so people do not have to learn how it works in detail and/or directly integrated into other applications/OS (example is printing)
In Nostr, microapps won’t scale, as the cost to be familiar with n applications scales as n^2
Eventually, microapps converge into integrations and large clients.

The cash app does not support Chinese users. i think use this software to buy U.S. stocks. nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l .

That’s still true.

nostr:npub1yxzkmtuyctjw2pffp6e9uvyrkp29hrqra2tm3xp3z9707z06muxsg75qvv has a good take on the problems with Bluesky and why they’re supporting the FreeOurFeeds.com project. I mean if you take Nostr plus the Bluesky bridge eclipse.pub. We should be putting a louder voice out there that Nostr is the open free alternative to Bluesky.

The "people will just make their own apps on the fly" meme reminds me of when Intel et. al. kept pumping articles about how people don't want one device that does everything, they want separate devices for each task email, web browsing, printing, etc.

It is funny but it’s also quite feasible with wider adoption of Nostr. We are so early here it isn’t funny. I don’t think any protocol will replace Nostr, and eventually all social media services will be built on Nostr. You will most likely be living off of zaps within 5 years lol (or at least able to)

This custom feed tip from nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg is incredible. Chronological feeds of images and videos from the people I follow. Just thinking back over the last 2+ years and how much I’ve enjoyed being here on nostr, how the apps have become so freaking amazing, and realizing that this is ONLY THE BEGINNING, has me feeling so incredibly excited for what’s to come. Let’s onboard the world to freedom. 💜🚀

I'm quite surprised how few clients support NIP-17 DMs (uses NIP-44 to not leak metadata), so I started building a tool for ourselves to provide support for our future users in a user-friendly way. I ended up with this Telegram-like web-client to send giftwrapped DM's that is actually useful for anyone. It's available via https://resin.estate/chat
I'm considering continuing developing it as a separate tool, as I think this is quite an improvement over what is available now.

End of this month my work at nostr:npub1zwne90qpp0g20u99gcr44ukc42vhyg9yfw2tuc8kv9r00er9xwlqm5tult ends, where I built www.resin.estate a nostr (NIP-99) based marketplace which aims to also offer interesting financing options, preferably without a bank.
Follow nostr:npub1zwne90qpp0g20u99gcr44ukc42vhyg9yfw2tuc8kv9r00er9xwlqm5tult posts to keep updated. If you’re interested in the technical side, I just wrote quite some thorough README’s
Frontend:
https://github.com/DaedalusLabs/RESIN/blob/main/README.md
Backend:
https://github.com/DaedalusLabs/RESIN-backend/blob/main/README.md
If you want to play around with the event kind that I used, I’ve created https://create-event.resin.estate for that. Would love to talk about the process and considerations so feel free to hit me up or invite me for a talk at Bitcoin events.

Anyone successfully implemented Nsec Bunker remote signers with NDK in TypeScript? 👀 I do see a ndk nip46signer but looking at the code I don’t see how I could implement the nostrconnect:// string flow. The bunker:// flow I got working. Stuck for 3 hours already…

Never mind nostr:npub1fnspdyh362svdejkxqkkt4t8qvlg53jfsdn3ntxx3v2lcc5rgv8q5x8x8y I just released an update 3.3.1 with support for local public pool. Please test if it works for you :)
-
What port is the API, and can you send me the example of the API output? you can change the values and your BTC address of course and send it in a DM
-
Without an API that would be impossible yes ;)
-
It's already in there, just make sure you use the btc address without the worker name (so without the part after the dot).
-
You can update via https://web-flasher.btclock.dev
-
Looks like a Fleischmanns N scale start set 👀
-
I did already at the Amsterdam conference in ‘22 ;) but can do it on any meetup if there’s enough interest (At least 5 people)
-
You know it’s only adding your pubkey right? 😁
-
I will be at nostr:nprofile1qqsqhnducqt545lyw4x9t3x3p267wh6zul830xjm47p42hs42jg76rgpcvrpg in January giving a #btclock workshop! I will tell a bit about the project and then you can build your own BTClock yourself for 150 euro in sats. For the workshop I created a special edition backplate with the conference logo and date on the back 😎
Limited seats available (±10 left at this moment), if you want to attend make sure you pre-order the kit at https://btclock.store/product/btclock-workshop-set-adopting-bitcoin-cape-town/ (note that you need a conference ticket as well!)

I hope you enabled zap notifications on your #BTClock as well

My replies keep disappearing it seems... Maybe you receive this double but it looks like the yellow headers are not soldered correctly to the ePaper boards and therefore don't make good contact.
-
New update for #BTClock, added a “Do Not Disturb” mode that stops all LEDs and (if you have it) frontlight effects so you can sleep (or work) without distractions. Can be enabled manually or based on a time schedule. Also added a second font you can choose, Oswald. Get the update at https://web-flasher.btclock.dev or if you are on 3.2.19 or later you can update using the WebUI. ✌️
https://m.primal.net/NLCJ.jpg
-
Interesting idea, multiple npubs should be possible but the different color light effects might be too heavy. It's already quite feature packaged, there is not that much RAM left but might give it a try when the mining pool stats integrations prove to be stable enough!
-
You can try with the primal relay first, I noticed that with the alby relay zap receipts are not received by the device even when you have a alby lightning address...
-
Yeah but I figured people would paste their npub anyways xD, but at this moment it only converts when you click somewhere else. Will release an update soon that converts when you paste. You can also use this tool: https://nostrcheck.me/converter/
-
Nope… it’s a prototype, there only exist 2 in the world 😬

The "p" tag helps with identifying events meant for a specific user. Also the NIPs specify a way for a sender which relay to deliver the encrypted message.
That specific chosen relay could enforce authentication before kind 1059 events get delivered that are meant for a specific pubkey. I hope this clear it up a bit 😉
-
It’s connected with WiFi, still needs power using one of the two usb-c ports (back or side)
-
I'll probably regret this, but let's try it out...
At https://btclock.store/product/btclock-built-to-order/ you can now completely customize your #BTClock either as kit or pre-built. Bamboo / White / Purple and Black front panels available!
Versions with illuminated ePaper displays (frontlight) available only as pre-built versions. Probably the last few ones for a while since they were custom produced for the project and I'm almost out.
