How do apps like simplex or other open source apps, without a defined revenue source (sales etc etc), bring in revenue?
I think simplex is fantastic, for the record, just always wondered in general how money is made. Outside of funding events obviously lol

1. Forgot to mention underperforming BTC and that I have no exposure.

3. I’ve used deepseek and don’t get the hype but that’s just me.

I get that. And I agree. But I didn't want to derail my point which if you read my post was about market forces, not about abuse of the power of government.
We gave government the right to use force because there is no other counter to criminals using force. We didn't give them this very serious power in order to force people to participate in collective action, or do any other whistful thing some politician thinks up. They abuse our consent and now control us as tax slaves. And I am 100% against this. But also I don't have any hope that any nation of people could ever actually hold their government to account once you cede to them this power, unless those people were culturally very special, very like-minded, and very ornery.
And in conclusion I think that people aren't ornery enough anymore.

希伯来版本的则是「凡【他】所吩咐你们的」。
前者(希腊文)是复数【他们】，后者(希伯来文)是单数【他】。代名词是指称谁，就有了不同。前者会指向法利赛人，后者会指向摩西。
所以，希腊文版本的意思为，【法利赛人】所吩咐的，都要谨守遵行。希伯来版本的整句意思为，【摩西】所吩咐的，都要谨守遵行；不要遵从文士和法利赛人。于是，15章和23章之间矛盾就没有了。可别误会整本书的立论如此单薄，我只把关键重点挑出来。其他佐证就留待读者去细查个中原由。
马丁路德曾说：「希伯来语是世上所有语言中最好的一种…如果不认识它就不能真正明白圣经。虽然新约是以希腊文写成，但它充满了希伯来语法和表达方式。可以很适当地用一个比喻这样说：希伯来文在活水的泉源喝水，希腊人却享用这个泉源流出的溪流，而拉丁人则要喝这个溪流下游池塘里的水。」

Here's a story.
My father was a cop/detective for 30 years, from the 1950s into the 1980s. He was old enough to be my grandpa. I was born when he was 52.
He dies in the early 2010s. My older half-brother and I have to deal with his estate. His estate is a messy trailer with random stuff, a 1970s' snub-nose revolver, and a ton of hollow points. Since I'm the only one that grew up with him, I know where all of it is. His gun, his bullets. My brother is like, "all that is illegal" and I'm like, "yeah, but here's where it is".
So we collect his gun that is so old to be illegal, and his illegal hollow points, and bring it to a police station. We're like, "this is our father's, what do we do?"
The police officer was super cold at first. Asks us a ton of questions, sticks us in a room. And we're there for like 20 minutes.
And then the police officer comes back after running everything to make sure it's not wanted, acts like an excited schoolboy, and is like, "Omfg this thing is awesome! It's a snub-nose from the fucking 1970s. A classic! If you give it to us we have to destroy it. Which is horrible because all of us literally want it. It's so fucking cool. Are you sure you don't want it? We'd love you to have it so we don't have to destroy it."
But both my brother and I were in different states, and without licenses at the time (unlike now), so we were like, "nah, sorry."
So that's how my father's revolver went out. Being fanboyed over by cops decades later. It felt right.

1月28日晚，在大陆微博和豆瓣平台，众多网友纷纷吐槽，自己在B站观看央视“春晚”直播，发出去的评论看不到，或者根本发不出去，屏幕上现实的都是“说好”的评价，并且发评论的网友名称不显示，全部是“某某网友”。
网友表示，“发了好几条没看到”“我发无聊不能显示”“发个句号没法出去”“我说我发『难看』怎么没有”“受不了了，全是xx网友”。
有网友说，“猜是ai编的预制弹幕”“我发的只有自己能看见。。其他全是预制的”“b站预制弹幕，还要审核弹幕，弹幕用户id都变成xx网友，还有范围限制，只有两行显示”“我本来以为会有关键词屏蔽，没想到是纯人机”“预制加审核弹幕，真搞笑”。
由于收看率越来越低，1月9日，央视与大陆哔哩哔哩（“B站”）达成合作协议称，除夕夜，B站全程同步直播“央视春晚”，哔哩哔哩平台称，这是该网站首次直播“春晚”，还是独家弹幕视频平台。

I don't see it being massively adopted simply because not having an email and password to login is too confusing for most people. Pair that with having to store the nsec in a safe space (they'll shove it in notepad or the cloud that is later hacked), having to register the npub in order to have a readable "username" and having to use a separate app/plugin in order to login to other websites because using the nsec directly is not safe.
One way that could make it popular would be to have popular musicians put their music on Wavlake, but I had a look and from the about 150 musicians I listen to none of them are there.
