🟦🏁 Jonathan Rea regresa en Cremona: “Confío y estoy listo” para volver a WorldSBK
Jonathan Rea, seis veces campeón del MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, está listo para regresar a la competición en el Round de Italia en el Circuito de Cremona, del 2 al 4 de mayo. Tras más de dos meses fuera por una lesión, el piloto norirlandés del Pata Yamaha Team se muestra ilusionado y preparado para retomar la acción.
Rea sufrió una caída durante los últimos test de pretemporada en Phillip Island en febrero, resultando en múltiples fracturas en su pie izquierdo. “La lesión fue mucho más grave de lo esperado. Han sido un par de meses largos, pero en las últimas tres o cuatro semanas he trabajado al máximo para recuperar fuerza y funcionalidad,” explicó a WorldSBK.com. Agradeció el apoyo de los fans y su equipo: “Quiero dar las gracias a todos los que me han respaldado para volver a pista.”
Aunque Cremona es una pista nueva para Rea en competición, el piloto ya rodó allí en test la temporada pasada. “Me siento confiado y listo. Estoy feliz de volver con mi equipo y mi Yamaha R1. Mientras estuve fuera, el equipo logró grandes mejoras, con la primera victoria de Locatelli en Assen, así que estoy motivado para entender mi nivel y trabajar desde ahí,” afirmó Rea, ansioso por “pilotar con una sonrisa” en Italia.
El regreso de Rea es una gran noticia para Pata Yamaha, que atraviesa un momento dulce tras el triunfo de Andrea Locatelli en Assen. Paul Denning, director del equipo, destacó el compromiso de Rea: “Ha demostrado cuánto desea competir y ganar.
