One of the most exciting things about not drinking alcohol is that I get to drink beer again (NA)
When you go as hard as I did, you can’t fuck with a lot of carbs. And you need a higher dose to get where you’re trying to go. So you go to liquor and eventually everyone gets to vodka. The only purpose of which is to get drunk.
As much as I enjoyed the taste of beer, and had so many fond memories of places and friends tied to it, I just couldn’t stomach it anymore when I boozed.
NA beer has half the calories and fewer carbs, and there’s never a reason to have more than 1-2. And there are so many brands making tasty NAs now.
So I get to actually enjoy the thing again. And have flashbacks to those fun times and places.
