It's mainly because the quality of life (so to speak) has improved for natives that they don't want to do lower paying jobs any more (or inflation doesn't make it worth it).
Idk seems like less and less American youth working jobs that were usually filled by them i.e. waiters, busboys, farm hands, etc. etc. those gaps got filled by migrants.
And most kids are influencers and streamers, so why work at McDonald's when you're killing it in cryptos?

The USA is struggling with a lower end labour pool.
They closed the border for security reasons but now do not have farm workers.
It's most likely in part why they are trying (and failing) to get Afrikaners to migrate to the states and open farms etc.
Alas, they didn't get any farmers in this refugee batch. So idk what they will do, most likely cry genocide because SA has a case against Israel for Genocide? Or to try fandangle farmers off their land in South Africa? Not sure.
I'm sorry but I get less and less respect for America and Americans each day. They preach freedoms but shake hands with the Saudis who kill journalists. They preach liberty and life yet provide the ordinance and intelligence to kill children in a globally recognised genocide.

So I did my first 24 hour fast over the weekend. Not too bad. Got myself some fasting electrolytes to mix in my water and some MCT powder to add to my coffee when I break my fast.
