while it is partly true that spain's 100% renewable grid is a totally retarded idea, since someone's gotta make coke to build the steel for the windmills somewhere anyhow, that's physically impossible to change, and it's even worse if you talk about aluminium, not to mention its lack of durability and elasticity, without any kind of batteries for their system they are prone to failure
but that isn't what caused the blackouts, though it doesn't help
the cause was a breach in the earth's magnetosphere that let solar energy down into the lower atmosphere and dissipating into the grid wiring
this is what generalyl causes the kind of desynchronisation problem the grid was having, it wasn't just a lack of power, it was actually the opposite, there was too much power for the systems to handle
this kind of bullshit isn't helping, while it's true that going all in on stupendously inefficient "renewable" (cough, with the addition of coal to make the steel and run the kilns that bake the photovoltaic crystals), the bigger problem is that these incursions of solar energy are only going to continue to get worse, we are just coming out of the solar minimum now, and the solar max is set to be at least 4x as much energy hitting us peaking sometime in the next 6 years, while the shield is sputtering, and more and more of the infrastructure is becoming heavily dependent on electricity, when the wires of the high tension long distance transmission wires get filled with energy from the sun, they will catch fire, it's not gonna be fast to get this back on track
and we are going to have more blackouts over the coming months, last year's big peak of geomagnetic storms was in may, so it's very likely that it could even happen that some grids are so damaged they take weeks to come back online
though, ending this bullshit "renewable" will be a good part of this, it's not the power generators that are going to be the weakest link, it's going to be the links

Пять раз, выучил наизусть, жду когда фрагменты детям в школах преподавать начнут.
В действительности деда слушать уже проблематично: у него спичрайтер на уровне GigaChat (скорей всего GigaChat и есть), да и сам он читает наотъебись.
Остались только перформансы, но это на большого любителя. Из последнего помню, он оделся как украинский клоун — непонятно для чего. Даже на Соловьёв Live не поняли, но обрабовались. Теперь и у нас свой появился.
