Met a neighbour when went down the road, she said that there are huge empty spaces today, no fruit or veg at all, she thinks the photos online are Broadford and Portree, apparently there is damn all there. Another thing which pisses me off is that come tourist season they don't up their stocks, so if you are in later in the day it's tough titty, and to hell with those who keep the bloody place going out of season.
There is an article today in the local paper saying that back about 100 years ago there were 20 odd wee shops in Kilmuir, that's away up the arse end of north Skye. Post offices, blacksmith, weaver, mechanics, watch repairer, various huckster type grocery places and what have you, today there is a souvenir place.
