Spojené státy v polovině dubna obvinily čínskou firmu Chang Guang Satellite Technologies (CGST) , že poskytovala Húsíům údaje o lodích, na které pak jemenští teroristé útočili. Čínská firma je sice soukromá, ale spojená s čínskou armádou a už dříve poskytovala družicové záběry wagnerovcům.
