With FDB I can set up replication to another cluster with 1 command, monitor it easily as well.
There is very little administration cost and I have almost never had to intervene with my FDB cluster. Which is processing *a lot* of data.
The cost would be only 100€/mo to replicate over 500GB(!) of data.
Validating it would take at most a week at scale.
Most of the time is spent on picking the DB. So no, this is not a huge misrepresentation.

Setting up DB replication takes 1 hour, and instead of spending 1 hour they did nothing.
They should shut down their custodian, let everyone pull their funds out, and don’t relaunch it until they fix these issues and have a proper disaster recovery plan.
Or lose all their business.

It takes 1 hour to set up replication at a large scale.
It takes years to regain the trust of your users once they learn you could have prevented this by spending 1 hour.
