Hated Twitter. Never really stuck with social media. Skeptical about any of it, maybe no one ever reads this, but here goes—
Let’s just say my journey into Bitcoin wasn’t exactly sparked by Satoshi’s whitepaper. As a 20-something student with priorities that leaned more toward nefarious pursuits: experimentation over economics. Back then, BTC was a means to an end—a digital handshake in dim corners of the internet (swap the dealer for the postman). Let’s leave it at that.
Orange pilled? Well, kind of. Speckled, double-dropped, halved and crushed. Life moved on, and so did I… until 2018. Flipping through hotel TV channels at 2 AM, I stumbled on a wild-eyed Max Keiser ranting about “digital gold.” Memories flooded back. This time, curiosity stuck.
Stacked sats. Dabbled in shitcoins. Learned quickly that noise drowns signal. Rug pulls, shills, influencers in lambo pajamas; it stunk. So I pivoted: studied the whitepaper, cryptography, cypherpunks, and the rot of fiat decay. Got an MSc in blockchain (yes, the irony). Realized all roads lead back to one protocol.
Now? I’m here. Not for the get-rich-quick haze, but to build in the shadows of a system I no longer trust. My reasons evolved:
Then: “This buys internet drugs.”
Later: “This is the thing.”
Now: “This is the exit.”
