While in the last few years we have been witnessing a great increase in the area of psychic phenomena, still the majority of people suffer from what one may call the "giraffe syndrome," which goes as follows: One nice day an elderly resident of the Bronx decides to visit the zoo. As he lifts his eyes, he finds the belly of the animal connecting those legs; he keeps looking up, and all he sees is neck, neck, and more neck, and then, somewhere up in the clouds, a head. "No," he says, "this is impossible. There is no such animal." And with that he turns away from the giraffe and walks calmly on, not casting even a single glance back at it. Most people have the giraffe syndrome when it comes to those controversial areas. Especially so affected are scientists, with the exception of a very few pioneering spirits. The problem is that they view reality through a tiny window, and they like to stay within the frame of that window. They decide that if the giraffe is too big for their window, then it's too bad for the giraffe; as far as they are concerned, it is nonexistent. Fortunately, the levels of consciousness into which I divide the different phenomena are easily available, so that anyone who is willing to spend the time and effort does not need to rely on my description of things. He can go to the zoo and see things for himself.

Nostr projects have a nice opportunity to bootstrap via grants, while retaining full control and ownership.
But continuing to fund via grants over the long term does seem to be detremental for most projects. It kills any sense of urgency. The incentives are not there to build a useful product for users.

My BF doesn’t own a smart phone and uses a lite phone, and everyone is always bewildered when they see him using it.
My friends always have issues with their significant others using smartphones to cheat, or to be porn addicted weirdos. I’ve seen it myself. A majority of young men have major issues with porn addiction that has been normalized in the age of social media. I’ve seen women lose all their self confidence over what they find on their boyfriends/husbands phone. They lose themselves, and feel as if they have to be okay with it because “every guy does it”
It’s not okay. Find someone who values you and your body. I truly always feel so incredibly confident and secure, because I found someone with the same values.

Reason is, asknostr.site can't (and shouldn't) display all event kinds that might have been quoted in the original question, or in some of the responses. If users can snag the nevent and paste it into another client, that client will have a much easier time finding and displaying the note with the relay hints than if they search with just the note ID alone.
I don't think e tags would be the route to go. My understanding of them from NIP-10 is that they are referring to some other event that the event in which they are found is referencing, because it is a reply to the tagged event. Therefore, the relay hint found in an e tag is not a relay hint for the event containing the tag, but a hint for finding the event that is being referenced.
I think if you encode the relay that you received the event from into an nevent, that would be sufficient in most cases.
I still think best practice would be to encode the author's outbox relays if the event can be found on them, since that is what the author has proactively indicated to be where they want their notes to be fetched from, and only encode the relay(s) you received the event from if it isn't available from their outbox relays, or they have no 10002. But, there is the ideal practice, and there is what is practical and straightforward to implement and that will do the job in most circumstances, right? 😂
