Changing the Bitcoin denomination to Sats is a terrible idea, IMO, but there's some merit to the benefits of a "stock split" argument.
Why not call 1/100,000 a Bit and then you can have your cake and eat it too. A Bit would be ~$1 and would be a denomination that people could more easily relate to.
BTC is too large and Sats are too small for familiarity / adoption for transactions. It's a bad idea to redefine either Bitcoin or Sats, but creating a new denomination closer to $1 could provide the benefit they're looking for without all of the problems associated with changing long-standing denominations.

It does seem redundant to someone new to bitcoin and mostly nostalgic to call them sats? ‘Bits’ seem more relevant than sats for a global monetary system . Just my two sats lol 🙂💫🧸

And I do get the argument. Yes, there is merit. However, I firmly agree with your overall synopsis that we should let it evolve organically. At least, that's my opinion. I think if we start rearranging definitions and terms that's going to confuse the situation more than it needs to be.
The narrative of only 21mil is critical in pushing it's value forward. I say let it happen organically. If, and when that happens, we can deal with it then. Just my 2 Sats. 🫡
