I've consciously seen about 50 years of appeasement politics and often wondered why this continues to happen, in spite of it NEVER EVER working.
I've come to the conclusion that it's an aversion to responsibility. Publicly condemning bad act costs zero. It also achieves zero, but in the eyes of too many people, "at least it demonstrates to the bad guy, that we're not OK with his deeds". So no risk, but some gain among the more stupid populace.
Actually kicking a bad guy's butt risks the lives of your soldiers, a lot of material, and of course the next election. In exchange, it has a good chance of actually achieving a result.
So, guess which way a politician will always go?

Да ну, какой кофе... В этих сетях шаг в сторону от их основного продукта (бургеры, пицца, крылышки и т.п.) — это шаг в неизведанное.
Относительно кофе — там есть объяснение, почему он такой хреновый. Ну, понятно: закупочная цена, необходимость, чтобы вкус бленда был одинаковым независимо от того, что в него мешают в этом году, сроки реализации... Но ещё суть в том, что их клиент не поймёт и не примет спешелти-хуешелти, а развивать вкус — это вообще не про такой формат заведения. Всякие гурманы им нахер не сдались.

The way I see it, comparing it to regular restaurants isn't quite fair. But compared to other fast food and drive through options, I think the quality is great. Also, since it is a franchise, quality may vary widely from one to the next.

No creo que llegue a entenderlo nunca.
El ciudadano promedio tampoco sabe mucho acerca del dinero que usa o de como funciona una transacció bancaria.
Seguramente aunque Bitcoin llegue a ser algo cotidiano la gente simplemente lo usará sin entrar en ninguna de sus madrigueras.
Lo que no es necesariamente malo para los que hemos visto la luz y todavía tenemos acceso a bitcoin que holdear.
