i use Chrome mainly but i have some accounts set up on Opera so if i want to switch accounts quickly without logging out and logging in i can just open the same page on Opera
i also keep Chrome in forced dark mode and Opera with dark mode off. my bookmarks in Chrome are for pages that need dark mode and in Opera for ones that are incompatible with dark mode.
for example YouTube doesn't work well with forced dark mode - makes the bottom of the video look pale, so i run YouTube in Opera.

it uses Chrome engine but it adds some features Chrome doesn't have
for example if you're playing YouTube video and switch to another tab it automatically creates a mini sized youtube player and keeps it in the corner of the screen
also force dark mode is two clicks in Opera whereas in Chrome you have to go to Flags menu then reload the browser

i am using Chrome on Windows 10 with 32 gb ram and cable internet
not everything is slow. actual timeline loads decently. but i don't open NoStrudel on timeline - i open it on notifications because my first priority is to reply to any messages. i don't exactly care about what is on the timeline because it lags Twitter by several hours anyway.
when i open notifications page it spends several seconds with the sign "loading" but that is understandable ... what is NOT acceptable is that the "create new" button is not clickable until the notifications load !
there is no reason to wait for the notifications to load before i can begin composing a post.
the other two pain points are having to enter password into Alby 50 times a day
and the fact that whenever i upload an image it takes about 30 seconds or so, which is outrageously slow
ultimately i don't care about the timeline as i said. nothing there anyway. i want to be able to make posts ( with images ) quickly and check notifications quickly. and those happen to be the slowest.

It's well out of my price range too😅...I'm blessed to be gawk at its majesty and get paid to do so...the views and wild life are what keep me coming back year after year...it is beyond words, and pictures will never do it justice.
And don't worry, it should definitely still be here for a couple more cycles at least...despite glaring evidence of glacial and ice shelf retreat, the enormity of the continent is truely staggering and would take a significant shift in atmosphere to destroy this environment...it is far more resistant to change than we humans are.
