Following on from the last post, I am tidying up this scrap piece of wood for some paint/epoxy design testing.
1) Glued some low grit sand paper to a file (file was awful) and used that to sand down the middle bit. Also just used sand paper without the file. Made the middle section reasonably smooth/level.
2) Cut some pieces of plastic and sanded down any sharp edges. Taped to the end of the wood gaps. When I pour in the epoxy resin, the plastic pieces will prevent it from spilling out.
3) Taped off areas prior to applying paint in the middle.
4) Did two coats of white paint in the middle bit (acrylic paint, can't use oil based paint because the epoxy gurus say not to). Did one coat of black on the middle bit sides.
5) Orange was too bright so I tried to dull it down to a pumpkin orange by mixing in some black. Fvked that up and it looked like squashed bird shit. 🤣
6) Take 2 on the orange mixing... and it looks much better.
7) Did one coat in the middle and then used a fine paint brush to blend in the edges a bit. Still need to remove some of the white paint from the top.
Next I'll do the epoxy.. thinking of going for clear epoxy with a slightly black tint. All of this is just testing, trying to get a feel for what can be done and what can go wrong.

I get this… but here’s the thing, I own my own business and punctuality is so important to how professional my business appears… if I say “open at 9:30… I need to be open at 9:29… BUT every day for the past few months, I have been late to work. Every single day. It has become a joke, because even when I leave early, think I’m organised, and have myself out the door and on my way with PLENTY of time to spare, something always happens to make me late. From car accidents, concrete trucks blocking our drive, trees down, flooding, you name it. I’m late! Sometimes shit happens. 🤣

近期至少20家银行下调利率——中小银行存款利率进入“1时代”
近日，中国人民银行发布降准降息等一揽子金融政策后，多地中小银行下调存款利率，尤其是部分长期限定期存款利率跌破2%，进入“1”时代。据不完全统计，今年4月以来已有至少20家中小银行下调存款利率。中小银行为何降低存款利率？对此，中国银行研究院研究员梁斯认为，在适度宽松基调下，5月初人民银行出台了一系列措施支持实体经济发展，政策利率下行将带动利率体系整体下降，存款利率联动下行。商业银行息差收窄压力加大，势必强化负债成本管理，维持服务实体经济的能力。下调存款利率特别是高成本存款有利于优化负债结构，增强资产负债匹配度，提升负债管理效率。

在季节性波动规律影响下，我国蔬菜价格每年自3月份起就会进入下行通道。预计后期蔬菜价格仍有下降空间，将呈现稳中有降、波动下行趋势。近期，受多重因素影响，全国蔬菜市场价格持续回落。农业农村部重点监测的28种蔬菜全国批发价格数据显示，今年以来，全国蔬菜均价最低点为5月10日的4.24元/千克，较最高点1月28日的5.76元/千克下跌了26.4%。从品种看，重点监测的28种蔬菜在5月上旬有26种价格下跌，其中，生菜、西红柿、青椒跌幅较大，跌幅超过10%。“蔬菜价格近期下跌主要有三方面原因。”农业农村部农产品市场分析预警团队蔬菜首席分析师、中国农业科学院农业经济与发展研究所副所长孔繁涛说。一是蔬菜集中上市推动菜价下降。二是今春气候向暖利于蔬菜增产。三是前期菜价高企推动蔬菜扩种。
孔繁涛预计，后期蔬菜市场价格将继续呈现季节性下行趋势。一方面，蔬菜在田面积增加，保供基础较好。另一方面，目前，冬瓜等部分品种的蔬菜产地向北部转换的过程仍未完成，土豆、南瓜等品种在北方地区仍以设施生产为主，市场供应存在一定的不确定性。总体来看，后期蔬菜价格仍有下降空间，将呈现稳中有降、波动下行趋势。

前4月完成水利建设投资超2900亿元
今年以来，水利部加快“两重”建设水利重大项目实施。1至4月，全国水利基础设施建设进展顺利，完成水利建设投资2943.6亿元，全国实施各类水利项目2.68万个，其中新开工水利项目11149个。今年以来，在建重大水利工程建设取得新进展，黄河古贤水利枢纽、淮河入海水道二期等工程加快建设，引江济淮二期工程正全线加速推进，建成后将实现皖北28个县（市、区）水源替换。

I do think she made a very good case for money as a ledger - which is a monetary database and an accurate way of understanding what money is. I don't know exactly her preference on monetary school of thought. She definitely believes in hard money according to her book. I do appreciate her macro understanding and her voice in bitcoin. But bitcoin/money is usually found at intersections and some people arrive at this intersection being experts of one of those roads and don't really understand the other roads they are now encountering at this intersection. And this is a journey everybody is at. At least in my opinion.
