It's storing them on gundb: locally and on my gun relay that it automatically connects to.
The great thing about gun is that you can edit your block list on different devices without worry that they might be out of sync and overwrite each other, like has happened with nostr contacts.
The block list is public, so I just changed the button text to "Block (public)". I'll do encrypted block list at some point.

Hmm, I'd still like it to be a low barrier of entry way to try out Nostr. Maybe some notification that prompts to use extension, after you've used it for a while?
Unless you're on mobile, where extensions won't usually work. For Android I think PWAs can be actually packaged as "native" apps. Idk about apple, probably not.

I removed eth login, because no one was using it, and the login flow was not that good. It would ask the user to sign a string and derive a gun keypair from it. That was necessary, because Iris was using GunDB, which uses P-256 keys and eth is secp256k1.
But I guess window.ethereum would be directly compatible with a similar flow as window.nostr? Even if you don't buy shitcoins, window.ethereum is natively present in Brave browser.

Walked in on my 8 year old daughter watching iPad in her room the other day and she immediately hid the screen from me. I asked what she was watching and it was just some YouTube kids family channel where they keep horses.
I realised when hiding the screen from me, she just wanted privacy and wasn’t being secretive.
It’s intrinsic but we’ve been conditioned to give it up easily.

The Pomp and Shellenberger debate is extraordinary. Pomp does as great job.
Bitcoin, more than anything else I have ever come across, exposes people for the lack of investigation and research they do. It leaves you wondering about how many holes are in the other stuff they talk about.
At one point Shellenberger even refers to a credit card as an asset. It’s unreal.
