I think there is a common mix-up of concepts in the debate about Bitcoin's fungibility.
Fungibility is different from traceability.
In the Bitcoin protocol, one bitcoin is always equal to another. There is no distinction. Fungibility is an inherent characteristic of bitcoin. It is used to send and receive from one to another, just like a dollar, which is fungible.
The fact that we find an exception due to individual preference (like someone not wanting to receive certain dollars that have been part of a religious or mystical ritual) does not change the fact that the dollar is fungible.
However, something that confuses many people is traceability. Due to the nature of the timechain, on-chain Bitcoin transactions are traceable.
This means that anyone with access to on-chain data can, if they wish, set their own criteria to accept or refuse certain bitcoins based on transaction history.
But this is an individual choice from contractual freedom.
The legal nature of a thing does not change even when individuals exercise the right to make contracts based on information obtained through traceability.

That said, a fediverse/nostr bridge could be realized on a per-instance basis eliminating the single-point-of-failure, but increasing the attack surface by adding custodial keys to multiple instances.
I can't think of a sustainable way do make it non-custodial on a per-user basis that isn't just a crossposter.

Pricey. Delicate and doesn't support TAPROOT addresses, no BIP85 and also have plenty of bugs when you pull into some menus that mess with files. I own both versions. (founders ed and 2nd ed). Blockstream JADE is quickly becoming the perfect companion to Clocard now that t JADE also supports BIP85.
I bought 2 and regret getting the 2nd ed

So, I've been studying #Mostr, and I think it's bad for #Nostr. Nothing against the Fediverse, I just don't think it follows the right philosophy. Normalizing it is a threat to sovereignty. Personally, I recommend muting all Mostr NIP-05s.
I am not calling for Mostr's destruction, but perhaps tools for clients and relays to mitigate custodial account services like Mostr. A single service shouldn't dominate the timeline the way it does, unless the user wants it to.
Let's also face the basic truth: Not your keys, not your account. Mostr holds all the nsecs. They are generated like this:

Where "Conf.secretKey" is a seed value generated with "openssl rand -base64 48".
This is definitely a secure way to make nsecs, but it also secures every account with the same private key. Were that key to be compromised, it's a single-point-of-failure. A staggering number of trusted accounts could be botted in an instant.
That key is stored in plaintext inside of a "config.ts" file on the Mostr server, so we're really just one zero-day away from an issue. We really shouldn't trust accounts like these by default.
Even if nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6 is the most trustworthy person in the world, letting one person own that many trusted nsecs is a bad idea. I'll keep repeating this term till it sticks: ZERO-TRUST.
Also, while I respect Mostr being an open-source project, that in itself is a threat given what Mostr does. Standing up your own Mostr is trivial, but could you imagine two Mostrs? That's immediately a spam problem, and probably in invitation to cause a loop to form somewhere. Imagine 10 Mostrs; complete chaos. Nothing is preventing this.
And, just a petty complaint, but everyone on Nostr identifies themselves by npub, but on the ActivityPub side of Mostr, Nostr users are identified by hex pubkey. Fixing this now is basically impossible, and it hurts user-friendliness. That's not our problem though.

Exactly this is what I see.
My perspective comes from being born in Italy, and looking how Croatia (I am mixed vlood and living in both countries) is becoming part of the EU and what that will mean.
I see what nostr:npub18x5tzar4hcxmgn33870aqvhlmcvrez4avjvwfye2suenp5kdfp5q5stv0k is saying and agree on the fact that the foundation and main goal of EU was peace and a better markets and less friction on borders, but my fear is that citizens of every single States are becoming less and less important and their voice and vote count nothing because the big decisions are bein made on the EU levels and politicians tends to use the EU as an excuse to impose narratives and Ideas that comes from other people's incentives.
I see the EU as USA puppet, and I had the prove of it when I saw how we completely surrender any decisions about the Russia/Ukraine-USA conflict, where the EU and Nato simply bent and did whatever Daddy US (and all the corporations) wanted.
EU accepted a conflict on his territory and the consequences of all the sanctions without thinking about the losses European people would suffer.. because we did it for a "greater good".
Anyway.. I am far to know about what really happens in geopolitics and these stuff, what I think is, the smaller the State, the less the power is in a few of hands, the better it is. We could have good markets and less frictions even without EU.. centralization is not the solution.
EU is the main example of bad centralization IMHO. I could be wrong of course.

I'm agree with his article in a news column that why people in the super structure do not give some opportunities to the Teen's people to manage their society by their preferences?
Maybe, the reason of this issue is the super structure people will not want to lose their legacy, status, and power that will pass to their family & clans from the Teen's management that will demolish the old structure and create the new power to control.

The govt is definitely funding & encouraging a flow of undesirable people in to the country. But IMO the domestic threat from pharma corps is killing far more people. And I'm not convinced US drug fighting agencies aren't directly responsible for the fentanyl too. Govt agencies poisoned alcohol during prohibition to "remind them why they need us." The murdering of people in Waco was the ATF's way of demonstrating they were "needed." With the war on marijuana being stopped, suddenly there are people being poisoned by marijuana, sounds like govt to me.
