it's a difficult issue because everyone has different relay sets, so there no way to know what users are seeing spam and what users are not. The only thing I can reliably suggest is people use my relays since I don't see the spam.
I'm also just a single dude who already spends way too much time on nostr when I could be building instead. I am not a corporation with a massive team helping every single person on the network who is having issues without me knowing it. I do help everyone who messages me on here though, I am pretty good at replying to most mentions since I have notedeck open all day on my computer.

My point had been the same all along. There is an easy to use solution to your concern about using your nsec in other clients. That was met with some kind of wierd pile on over not using android and that unless apple has the same solution I am some kind of idiot.
I am pretty sure this is the equivalent of "i don't want to use it."

fully synced doesn’t really mean anything. Its not a blockchain. Nodes will never be fully synced with each other. Some nodes are private and disconnected from each other forming subnetworks. If I were to estimate it, i would guess 500GB?

working on some code this morning that will allow you to middle-click a thread to open it as a new column in notedeck (think of opening as a new tab in web browsers). this is nice if you want to monitor a thread over time without navigating/taking over existing columns which is the current behavior.

Damus had dubious logic that would look for the zap request inside of a bolt11 description if it was a description invoice instead of a description hash invoice. Alby hub was creating description invoices and are not committing to the zap request. Damus did not handle this properly. I still think zap implementations should commit the zap request in the description hash, people have given up on validation of any sort except the nostrPubkey == zap pubkey. So yeah thats it in a nutshell if that makes any lick of sense.

Imagine if a government wanted to slowly & quietly dumb a countries population down, train them to be complacent and docile, and convince them that foolish entertainment and misdirection was more important than health & personal liberty.
This would have to be done over decades, always with plausible deniability. They might do it by replacing real food with junk food, leading to lower testosterone levels, brain fog, mental illness & chronic aches and pains. They might actually try to convince The People that ultra-processed food was actually healthy.

Thanks. So, For now, I will use Alby webhooks, with option for users to add their own webhook API. That's the only API it uses.
