I‘m trying to learn what is… I might be wrong. I understood that it is a Layer 2 solution to ad flexibility of money on a Bitcoin-Standard (Important: its flexible credit money yes, but NOT inflationary). According to the german podcast #WasBitcoinBringt they use ecash tokens for that.
I jnderstood, that Bitcredit is an open-source project aimed at promoting the adoption of Bitcoin in the real economy. It provides a decentralized solution for peer-to-peer Bitcoin credit by utilizing electronic #promissoryNotes issued by businesses for goods sold and services rendered. These notes are converted into Bitcoin credit tokens by so-called “Mints,” which can be redeemed 1:1 in Bitcoin. This system enables businesses to improve their liquidity without relying on traditional banks and helps reduce Bitcoin’s volatility by aligning the money supply with demand.
Kind of freebanking but on a Bitcoin-Standard.

Banacon Island Mangrove Forest
Banacon Island is located in the town of Getafe, which is a 3-hour bus ride from Tagbilaran City Located in the northern part of Bohol.
The Banacon Island Mangrove Forest is now an eco-tourist destination with an approximate area of 425 hectares of Mangrove Forest established through community effort that started last 1957.
Under the Municipality of Getafe, located north of Bohol province, it is now considered as the biggest mangrove plantation in the country.
The tangled and intricate root systems of the bakauans provide shelter to hundreds of fish species that are native to the waters around Banacon Island. They also serve as critical spawning grounds or nurseries for the fishes, seahorses, shrimps, crabs and other marine life.
Likewise, the muddy waters around the mangroves are rich in nutrients from decaying leaves and organic matter and are the main source of food for the different marine species around the island.
Of the 425 hectares mangrove forest in Banacon Island, 15 hectares are on dry land and 410 hectares are on the tidal flat area. With the proliferation of these mangroves, fish production increased, including seahorses, as well as the natural stocks of blue crabs (Potunus pelagicus).

I reminisce about those days too. I remember them so well. I came from BBS to ICQ and MSN chat in my mid teens. It was like, the thing that helped me recover from another crappy day at school. And I feel a lot of that vibe returning here on Nostr.
But still, fundamentally I learned to use Webcrawler and Altavista to, as a user, discover a publisher, which (putting aside Geocities for a moment) was usually a business.
I never would have considered that publishers would fight to seek me out. But that's where I think we may be going.
I think the script is going to flip from internet dominated by service providers, to one dominated by user intent.
