Looked at the Apache Tomcat stuff again at lunch - one of the IPs doing mass exploitation is a VPS provider - where the login traffic comes from a security vendor. Same pattern as what happened with that Apache Camel vuln.
If this continues I think I’ll evidence it and let the community judge. It really does feel like there’s sections of the security vendor industry trying to start the fire they put out. I know times are tough but please stop it.

It’s not limited to nostr. On all these news feed based social platforms an author makes a post, people respond with a comment. Maybe the the OP responds to a couple of them. And then it’s all gone, it’s an ephemeral broadcast platform.
It’s why after all these years I still get more educational value out of places like hacker news, where you don’t even have to post in order to get value from persistent and consistent threaded discussions. I had this same experience but on Android. I figured the iOS version was better. It has lots of cool things, but until the basics just work and there aren't breaking glitches I can't switch to it. I try to check back occasionally as they are hopefully fixing these issues.

No. You don't have to fork anything. You just need a way to self-host the stream with something like Cloudflare, Owncast or Restreamers. Then you can manually create the nostr event and publish it. The stream will then display in any nostr app that supports the event.

Sometimes she comes into work and her head of white hair is matted in back partly combed. Maybe she just got out of bed.
I doubt it though. She raises sheep, cows, has lots of cats, takes care of her mother-n-,law in the house next door.
One time she told me when she fires up her leaf blower to blow the cobwebs away in her basement the cats will disappear for a day.
Another time she told me she tried to tell her husband their financial situation would be ok, that was before she found him behind the pole barn dead with a self inflicted bullet wound to the head.
Sometimes we get to talking about her family's history when we should be working. Her grandparents were harassed by the Gestapo back in their homeland. She says the job reminds her of the stories they told. Management oversight and the tracking scanners we carry.
Everybody's got their job to do
Sometimes she'll say what they say about safety is all lies. We're just busy bodies. Then we'll laugh together about our lack of freedom.
We work at the same pace her and I. We leave about the same time and are usually the last ones back. Nobody wants to be the last to leave and return in the office, but we're usually the ones that do.
We're a service, not an assembly line putting out products.
We're both approaching 20 years with the Post Office. Where did the time go?!

Is there a service somewhere on the internet for pooling funds for storage?
Suppose I have this huge amount of valuable digital material that a group of people may be interested in preserving (for example, backups of the TGFN podcast episodes). I could try to save that myself on some storage provider and then make it available for interested parties, but that is too cumbersome and the cost will all be on me and eventually I will lose everything.
But at the same time there may be dozens, even hundreds of people that would also want to help pay for that and more people would join the pool going forward, they could all just contribute and keep the thing alive forever.
There should be a service that abstracted over storage providers and provided an interface for this. Is there such a thing already?

Unpopular opinion.
I must be the only one on NOSTR that finds nostr:nprofile1qqsx2wyjt6lmvc05rrvv05r5hm3w3t7h0pcpmkyswrpd4ymd2u09tscpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3kamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu339e682mnwv4k8xct5wvhxxmmdqywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wscn3xgh to be subpar.
I like being able to connect to NOSTR, being able to send/receive SATs, and the ability to share clips, and the syncing across devices. The UI is decent.
But it often seems glitchy.
Even when I download audio, it still becomes unplayable or podcast information isn't available if I am offline.
I just spent several days without internet access and each podcast I had downloaded was hit or miss to play.
Often, when I open the app to play something, it will just spin, thinking about what it should do. I have to initiate a force stop and start it again to get it working.
I have no idea how the speed function works. I have my default set to 1.5x but each podcast plays at normal speed. It will show 1.5x when you go to the podcast screen but it isn't playing 1.5x. I have to click the speed option on each podcast I play and then set it to another speed and then to the speed I originally wanted to get it to work.
Lastly, I have no clue how the queue feature works. My assumption is that it should play in order of the queue list but the reality is that it jumps around in an unknown order.
These are simple little quirks that any podcast app should have figured out. I like the extra features (and am willing to pay for them) but it should have the basics down pat.
It feels like folks talk it up and give it a free pass because it's a Bitcoin app.
Being out in the wilderness, wanting to catch up on some podcasts while I watch the sunrise, sipping my coffee, waiting for the little ones to wake, really had me wanting to go back to Pocket Cast, which just worked and I was willing to pay for.
