アメリカの消費税(実際は売上税)は、州レベルでは存在するものの、国全体で課しているものはないので、一律関税10％というのは、要するに連邦消費税みたいなものだ。
消費税の仕組みではどうにも取れないので、しかたなく関税にしていると考えるのが合理的だろう。したがって最低関税の10％は残り続けると見たほうが良い。10％であれば、他国も消費税として10％程度は最低レベルでかかっているので、それほど影響はないだろう。

世界の米
ベトナム、中国の米
油をつかった炒めものや料理ととてもよく合う。べちゃっとしておらず、おかずの汁や油が掛かることによって見事なハーモニーになる。日本米では水っぽくすぎてこうはならない。
インドのバスマティ米
ビリヤニにはこれしかない。ぱらっとしていて、香りがよく、食感はふわふわである。GI値が白米にくらべて半分程度で、血糖値があがらないため健康のためにもよい。米だけ食べても異常においしい。
スパイスの香りと、肉の濃厚な汁、米の食感、香り、すべてが混ざって芸術級の美味しさになり、米料理の大王だ。
インドネシアの糯米みたいな米
名前はわからないのだが、インドネシアのチャーハンで使われている。ねっとりした食感は糯米にちかい、かといって粒がつぶれず、ひとつひとつの米粒はしっかりとした食感を保っている。
米自体の味が濃厚だ。おいしい。
タイの短種類米
いわゆる香り米でない種類。香りはあまりなく日本米に近いが、粘り気がすくない。
これでチャーハンを作れば、Youtubeで苦労しているパラッっするためのテクニックが全部不要。
また、炊き込みご飯にすれば、米が立つので土鍋のテクニック不要。おにぎりにすれば、高級おにぎり店の粒のたった銀シャリになる。
日本米で同じ味をだすためのテクニックが全般的に不要になる。
タイの香り米(ジャスミンライス)
は個人的にはあまりつかってないが、もっとも米の香りがつよい。パンダンリーフのような強いかおり。
これに負けないようなハーブや唐辛子の効いた料理とあわせると美味しい。
欧州のリゾット用の米
日本の米の粒を巨大にした感じ。米の香りはすくなく、粘り気があり、日本の米に近い。リゾットやパエリアに使う。最大の違いは食感で、歯にまとわりつくような独特のしっかりとした食感がある。
