近日，日本最大在野党立宪民主党众议员小熊慎司在众议院外务委员会会议上，敦促日本政府“不要屈服于美国勒索者”。当时正值负责与美国就关税进行谈判的日本经济再生大臣赤泽亮访美期间。小熊慎司在会上批评美国的关税政策“不讲理、一团糟，还朝令夕改”。他表示，如果依照美国的要求与其展开谈判，就如同“被不良少年敲诈”，而如果在谈判中妥协退让，就像“遭抢劫时乖乖交出钱财”，这样只会让对方食髓知味、变本加厉地继续打劫。
