If you take a closer look you can see the difference in the colours of the setting for the stone and in the ring on the left. The ring is made of 18 ct. or 750/000 that means 750 parts of thousand is fine gold. The other 250 parts are Silver and Copper. That makes the alloy lighter and harder. If you add more copper you get an rosé- or red gold.

our weekly damus meetings are actually fun, today we were discussing all the possible ways to improve discoverability and community building. I have to cut us off or we would go on for hours.
one thing I keep thinking about: with all the discovery tools we're adding (dave, network visualizer, etc): it seems what we're really doing is building a search engine for nostr. One aspect of the search engine is an AI that has a birds eye view of whats going on at any point in time, and can suggest content you might have missed that you find interesting.
There is lots of interesting content on here. If we continue to build the best tools for surfacing this content, that will go a long way to improve the value of the network as a whole.

Baking soda is highly abrasive! If you brush your teeth with it every day, it can soon lead to very sensitive teeth. Baking soda is okay every now and then... But what I recommend is coconut oil and activated charcoal. Add essential oil like tea tree, eucalyptus, or mint and xylitol for sweetening. Xylitol also protects teeth.

Google's attorney, John Schmidtlein, said in his opening statement that the court should take a much lighter touch. The proceedings, known in legal parlance as a "remedy hearing," are set to feature a parade of witnesses that includes Google CEO Sundar Pichai. The U.S. Department of Justice is asking a federal judge to order a radical shake-up that would ban Google from striking the multibillion dollar deals with Apple and other tech companies that shield its search engine from competition, share its repository of valuable user data with rivals and force a sale of its popular Chrome browser. Google's attorney, John Schmidtlein, said in his opening statement that the court should take a much lighter touch. He said the government's heavy-handed proposed remedies wouldn't boost competition but instead unfairly reward lesser rivals with inferior technology. "Google won its place in the market fair and square," Schmidtlein said.

I'm going to be a wet blanket here. I love music. I spent my tesn and college years spending so much money on vinyl that the used record guy used to give me his roll of cash to tend to the store while he took a leak.
I have almost a full year's worth of listening on my drives at home. But, entertainment is a want, not a need. I hardly listen to my music anymore, much less the pablum that passes for popular music now. My entertainment budget, as paltry as it is, is spent on travel or meals and drinks with friends.
I love music, but I don't value it as much as I do travel or being with friends. I'm not willing to shell out even one dollar for a concert ticket or even an mp3 stream. I still toss money into the musician's jar if I'm at a venue where music is being played live or even on the street if the busker seems authentic to me.
But, like teachers, the reason that it's difficult to get paid for certain forms of work is simply that society doesn't value that form of work. Athletes get paid because people love beer and expensive new cars. Some entertainers also get paid, but usually the ones spending the money are either those who didn't have tto work for it (kids) or people who haven't discovered other ways to spend their money.
I'm not saying that it's fair or just or whatever, but that's the way it is.
