What's so cool about all the free open knowledge and the digital age is that Agorism or self-sufficiency can also be taught to people on the other side of the world who are struggling to make ends meet. Instead of easily donating money to large foundations where relatively a lot of money is lost to overhead, I hope this inspires others as well.
The beauty of this is that in the long term, we might be creating the most sustainable solution by developing open-source alternatives for basic necessities like food, energy, education, shelter, and clothing. However, these solutions are only truly sustainable if they're not claimed by individuals or organizations with patents and copyrights, restricting access and hindering further improvement. By working together in open collaboration, we can collectively improve and implement these solutions, sharing our knowledge and resources with people who are struggling to get by. When we meet someone with financial problems, we can share our help and means with them thanks to this openness.
This way, we can ensure that the solutions we create are not only effective but also accessible to everyone, fostering a culture of cooperation and mutual support. The Nostr ethos, with its emphasis on open protocols and decentralization, is already heading in this direction. As we journey through life, when we encounter someone in need, we can apply the same Nostr ethos to find ways to help them, promoting a ripple effect of kindness and cooperation.
