The biggest problem with most Nostr clients, in my opinion, was that they followed a social network format, more focused on people and personal discussions (similar to Twitter), instead of a format focused on content production (videos, texts, images) like some streaming sites.

Lichaam Jonnie Boer vanuit Bonaire aangekomen in Nederland
Het lichaam van de overleden topchef Jonnie Boer is weer in Nederland. Boer overleed afgelopen woensdag op 60-jarige leeftijd op Bonaire, waar hij een huis had.
Gisteravond begeleidden nabestaanden de rouwkist naar het vliegveld van het eiland. Daarna vloog familie in dezelfde vlucht mee terug naar Nederland.
Het is nog niet bekend wanneer de uitvaart is.
Het vertrek op Bonaire:
Boer was een van de bekendste koks van ons land. Sinds 1993 was hij samen met zijn vrouw Thérèse eigenaar van De Librije in Zwolle. Het is het enige restaurant met drie Michelinsterren in Nederland.
Naast De Librije had het echtpaar nog drie andere restaurants in Zwolle, maar ook een op Curaçao en twee op Bonaire. Volgens vriend Jeroen van den Boom is zijn werk erg belangrijk geweest voor Bonaire.
"Hij heeft fantastische horeca hier neergezet met een heel mooi team", zegt Van den Boom, zelf ook ondernemer op het eiland. "Daarmee heeft hij Bonaire ook op de wereldkaart gezet. Daar zijn we allemaal erg trots op."
Ook vriend en collega David Rietveld deelt die mening. "Met het overlijden van Jonnie verliest Bonaire een culinair genie en een enorm creatieve geest voor de horeca op het eiland."
Minuut stilte
Vrijdagavond was er op veel plekken in Zwolle een minuut stilte vanwege het overlijden van Boer. De festiviteiten rond Koningsdag werden daarvoor kort onderbroken.
De ondernemer ontving in 2008 een erepenning van de stad, als blijk van waardering voor zijn grote bijdrage. De Librije zal in ieder geval aankomende week nog gesloten blijven.

Third stop was a bust. Shot Bar Asha looked nice, but table charge of ¥1000 for appetizers wasn’t in my hashigo vibe. Maybe another time.
Instead I’ve come to Ale House. B1 pub, apparently with live music Tuesday and Thursday from 8-9 pm. Caol Ila double to start. The staff are really nice here. I want to try the jerk chicken but he said 40 minutes in the oven. I don’t have 40 minutes tonight but I’ll be back.
Most importantly… right when I was about to leave, he recommended the Classic of Islay whiskey, an unnamed from Lagavulin. Winning!

Almost no one is being honest with you so I’m going to be truthful.
Yes Bitcoin is being captured by Wall Street and then it will be captured by the central planners and sovereign states.
This was always going to happen if Bitcoin was ever going to be successful.
The good news is that is the only way Bitcoin can actually change these institutions, from the inside.
Kind of hard to be a Trojan horse If the enemy leaves it outside of the gate.
Self interest will keep the core tenets of Bitcoin like the 21 million hard cap in place during this process.
It is not until Bitcoin has marinated fully into the financial system, political system and culture that it will then be able to start eroding the power structures we so desperately want to see destroyed.
Bitcoin is the long game.
