It may not, my main concern is text input, which has heavy native integrations (hold space to move cursor, etc). I would have to emulate all that. Not sure how hard that would be.

Much cooler when you explore this phenomenon in the context of quantum information theory. When you take out many degrees of freedom in the physics and just focus on the transformations on quantum amplitudes things get less spooky. Ok it’s still a bit spooky.
Susskind has a mind blowing theory called ER = EPR where he makes the case that entanglement has similar properties to worm holes 🤯 there may even be quantum wormholes connecting entangled particles. QM is a lot of fun 😁

Oh god the way I learn is so scattered I don’t even know. I think I just started peeling the onion on Lie Group, lie algebras, representation theory (woits book is really good). Once you realize that so much of physics is based on irreducible representations of symmetry groups things start getting really interesting. Understanding what SO(2), SU(2), means, how it relates to quantum observables, pauli matrices, etc… so much to explore. Chatgpt helps a lot, it’s an infinitely patient tutor.

- **Cursos Online**:
- *General Relativity* (Stanford Online, Leonard Susskind).
- *Advanced Differential Geometry* (Coursera, TU Delft).
- **Workshops Locais**: Eventos do **IMPA** (Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada) ou **SBF** (Sociedade Brasileira de Física) sobre RG e Cosmologia.
---
---
### **4. Lista de Livros por Etapa**
**Graduação:**
- *Gravitation* (Misner, Thorne, Wheeler) – Base conceitual.
- *A First Course in General Relativity* (Schutz) – Introdução matemática.
- *Differential Geometry of Curves and Surfaces* (do Carmo) – Fundamentos geométricos.
**Mestrado:**

**Doutorado:**
- *Global Lorentzian Geometry* (Beem et al.) – Tópicos avançados.
- *Advanced General Relativity* (Stewart) – Formalismo 3+1 e métodos numéricos.
- *Quantum Fields in Curved Spacetime* (Birrell & Davies) – Interface com QFT.
**Pós-Doutorado:**
- *Spinors and Space-Time* (Penrose & Rindler) – Ferramentas para problemas de spin.
- *General Relativity and the Einstein Equations* (Choquet-Bruhat) – Teoremas de existência.
- Artigos seminais: *Penrose (Singularity Theorems), Christodoulou (Stability of Minkowski), Ashtekar (Variables Formalism)*.
**Recursos Acessíveis no Brasil:**
- SpringerLink via CAPES: Acesso gratuito a livros e artigos.

- **Bolsas de Doutorado no Exterior**: CAPES/DAAD (Alemanha), NSF (EUA).
**Publicações:**
- Comece com revistas brasileiras (*Brazilian Journal of Physics*), depois almeje *Classical and Quantum Gravity* ou *Communications in Mathematical Physics*.
**Mentores-Chave:**
- **No Brasil**: Alan Kostelecky (Unicamp, RG modificada), Jorge Pullin (LSU/EUA, Relatividade Numérica).

---
### **Aviso Final**
A Medalha Fields exige **originalidade radical** + **impacto profundo**. Boa jornada! 🌌

I guess the biggest issue is that many relays simply store the json so that it can be delivered as-is, so for efficiency it would need to store the msgpack version as well. Guess we’re stuck with json for now. Its still the most cpu usage in nostrdb next to signature validation 😒

msgpack is actually a decent wire format for json. Would love to see a relay NIP where you could upgrade to that by requesting it in a websocket header.

Im guessing he’s sub-posting me because Ive said this in the past. I have to deal with hundreds of complaints about other clients nuking contact lists. So I have said “if you use another client it may corrupt your contact list”.
Once damus is better at defending against other clients breaking stuff in damus then I wouldn’t have to say this. But it would require some decent amount of code to detect large changes in followers, etc. I’ll do it eventually but it’s a lot of work.
I have already seen malicious relays (but more likely just buggy relays) that will return results that don’t match your filters. In the outbox model you’re giving control of what relays you connect to other people. Until my client is hardened I don’t feel comfortable doing that. But the local relay model I’m working on fixes a lot of these concerns, so I’ll finally be able to switch to outbox once thats done.
-

@ 32e18276:5c68e245
2024-01-03 13:36:50
Once damus switches to a multiplexing local relay the outbox model becomes much more attractive: all notes and filters are validated by default. The network code is only responsible for dumping data into nostrdb, the actual filters are matched locally. This removes any concerns of malicious relays I might have had in the outbox model. nostr:note19kdj9n360mnvckw9c48870576jffnx9ts379gs03q4cz0k7tdrms7ng52m
