だが『名探偵コナン』の安室透を推すオタクは、安室透に100億の男になってほしいのである（＊2）。
ここに熊代の指す「鏡映自己対象」と「理想化自己対象」の違いがある。
つまり「萌え」は好きな対象への瞬間的な欲求だが、「推し」には自分のアイデンティティを代替させたいという欲求が入り込む。
「推し」は、自分の理想化した行動をとってほしい、その理想化の一部に自分もなりたい、という理想アイデンティティを託す対象なのだ。
