It's been three years since I first published a note:

At the time, nostr was barely more than an idea. Very few were using it. Fewer still understood what it could become. And yet, there was something unmistakable in it—something honest. Something necessary.
Fiatjaf’s design struck me as elegant in the way that only true protocols can be. The best systems do not need to be sold. They are not invented so much as uncovered—like mathematical truths. Good protocols take minutes to explain, hours to design, days to write, weeks to prove, months to mature, and years to replace.
In 2008, faced with institutional failure and monetary abuse, someone with a poor choice of OS, limited programming ability, and a basic grasp of cryptographic primitives carved out a narrow escape route—one governed not by authority, but by thermodynamics and consensus. It wasn’t genius that gave Bitcoin its strength. It was the refusal to ask permission. It worked because it could not be stopped.
Nostr shares the same impulse. It is raw, principled, decentralised, and unowned. Its power does not come solely from its technical design, but from the ethic of those who use it—those who build without permission and speak without fear.
The need for such tools became inescapably clear during the pandemic, when a once-free civilisation chose compliance over conscience. Dissenting voices—many of them scientific, rational, and well-informed—were erased from public discourse. Had nostr existed at scale, the outcome might have been different.
Many believe Bitcoin’s progress means the danger has passed. I believe the opposite is true and that it's not time to let our guard down. If Bitcoin is the way out of monetary tyranny, nostr is the exit from informational control and the foundation of networked resistance. But we must remember: protocols are inert. It is not the tools that will save us. It is the will to build—and the courage to resist.
I’ve been quiet these past months, for a reason. But after a period of reflection, something new is taking shape. More to follow, soon.

Bitcoin in Real Life II
My wife studied artisanal jewellery design and worked for several years crafting unique pieces. Yesterday, someone from her hometown messaged her asking if they could call her for a quick consultation.
The situation? Her mother-in-law had recently passed away, leaving behind a large collection of jewels.
Over the years, she had purchased these pieces during trips to places like India, Africa, Brazil, and Mexico. Some featured precious stones, others were made of gold or silver. It was a diverse and valuable collection.
She didn’t buy them just for beauty, she saw them as a form of savings, a way to preserve value over time and even move wealth across borders if needed.
And honestly, that made perfect sense.
For generations, saving in gold and jewels was one of the most practical ways to store value, especially for those who didn’t fully trust banks or wanted something physical they could take with them in uncertain times.
But since 2009, we have a tool that allows us to do this in a much simpler, safer, and more efficient way: Bitcoin.
Now, the family wants to divide the jewels into eight lots of similar value to distribute among the heirs.
My wife’s answer was straightforward:
Most jewelry is valued by the weight of the metal, gold or silver and the quality of the stones. The craftsmanship rarely adds much to the resale price unless it comes from a known designer or brand.
Her advice: visit multiple jewelry shops, get a few appraisals, and use those estimates to create balanced lots.
But just imagine…
If instead of jewels, this woman had left Bitcoin.
There’d be no need for appraisers.
No arguments over who gets what.
No guessing, no expert needed to evaluate the worth or certify the authenticity.
Just a universally recognized, mathematically verifiable asset that can be divided down to the smallest unit and distributed with perfect fairness.

Different billing intervals are supported, you can technically create a renewal for as low as 1 second, ill look into it

The way billing works its only for fixed intervals like 1 month, zapping arbitrary amounts would be weird, not impossible though..

It's up to the people who receive bitcoin in exchange for something else. They decide what bitcoin is and therefore what the hard cap is.

Многоколоночный интерфейс (добавляй, какие хочешь local, теги, federated).
И главное для меня - удобная работа с двумя (и более) аккаунтами. Такого я не видел даже в популярных клиентах для андроид. Не требуется целиком переключать приложение с одного аккаунта на другой.
