Os cantores Belchior e Fagner, e o artista Espedito Seleiro serão homenageados com a Medalha do Mérito Artístico e Cultural Patativa do Assaré. A honraria é um projeto do Tribunal Regional Eleitoral do Ceará (TRE-CE) e celebra o legado cultural de figuras cearenses.
Além deles, outros nomes estão na lista de indicados. A medalha leva o nome do poeta popular cearense (1909-2002) Patativa, nascido e falecido na cidade de Assaré, na região do Cariri. A cerimônia de entrega ocorre no próximo dia 13 de maio.

Banda Cabaçal dos Irmãos Aniceto
Fundada na cidade do Crato, em 1815, por José Lourenço da Silva, conhecido como Aniceto, descendente dos índios cariris, é um tradicional grupo musical brasileiro. O grupo já gravou quatro discos e sua temática musical baseia-se no cotidiano do trabalhador sertanejo.
Antônio Carlos Belchior Fontenelle Fernandes
Belchior, nascido na cidade de Sobral, em 1946, foi um famoso cantor, compositor, músico, produtor musical e artista plástico. Reconhecido nacionalmente, Belchior faleceu em Santa Cruz do Sul (RS), em 2017.
Raimundo Fagner Cândido Lopes
Cantor e compositor, Fagner integrou o Pessoal do Ceará, movimento musical que tornou famosos nacionalmente diversos artistas da terra. Nascido em Orós, em 1949, é também produtor musical e instrumentista.
Espedito Velozo de Carvalho
Nascido em Arneiroz, no sertão dos Inhamuns, em 1939, Mestre Espedito Seleiro especializou-se na arte de transformar o couro em arte. É um artista renomado e sua arte já foi apresentada em exposições, eventos de moda, novelas, filmes, livros, reportagens e pesquisas.
Gina Vidal Marcílio Pompeu
A homenageada é mestra em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) e doutora na mesma área do conhecimento, pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), com pós-doutorado pela Universidade do Havre, na França, e pela Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal). É coordenadora e professora titular do Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Direito Constitucional da Universidade de Fortaleza (Unifor).
Luísa Cela de Arruda Coelho
É cearense, com graduação em Psicologia e mestrado em Saúde da Família, ambos pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). Atua, desde 2014, na área das políticas culturais, direitos humanos e cidadania. Atualmente é titular da Secretaria de Cultura do Estado.
Raimundo Bezerra Falcão
Graduado em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), tem mestrado em Direito e Desenvolvimento também por aquela universidade. Foi professor da Faculdade de Direito da UFC. O homenageado foi presidente da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil – Secção Ceará (OAB/CE) e é membro efetivo do Instituto dos Advogados Brasileiros, do Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Constitucional e da Academia Cearense de Retórica, entre outras instituições.
Fernando Cirino Gurgel
Nascido em Fortaleza, em 1952, o homenageado é graduado em Ciências Econômicas pela UFC desde 1976. Atualmente é diretor-presidente da Durametal S/A, nova denominação daquela empresa. Entre 1980 e 1984, foi presidente do Sindicato das Indústrias Metalúrgicas e de Material Elétrico do Estado do Ceará (SIMEC).
Ivan José Bezerra de Menezes
Nascido em Juazeiro do Norte, com formação em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), o homenageado criou a Têxtil Bezerra de Menezes (TBM). Ocupou ainda a vice-presidência da Associação Brasileira da Indústria Têxtil e de Confecção (ABIT).
João de Lira Cavalcante Neto
Nascido em Fortaleza, em 1963, o jornalista Lira Neto, como é mais conhecido, graduou-se em Comunicação Social pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) e é mestre em Comunicação e Semiótica pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP). Tem doze livros publicados, principalmente biografias de grandes personalidades brasileiras, como o padre Cícero Romão Batista, o escritor Rodolfo Teófilo e os ex-presidentes Getúlio Vargas e Humberto de Alencar Castelo Branco.

Ed's Take:
I think a lot of people, especially in my generation, don’t realize how important your credit score actually is, and the damage it can do to you if you don’t take good care of it. Liberty Street did an analysis: It found that each time you miss a student loan payment (a delinquency), your credit score drops by around 150 points.
So just to paint a picture of what bad credit can do to you:
1) You pay higher interest rates; you’re seen as risky to lenders so you have to pay more on any loans you receive in the future.
2) It can affect your employment. A lot of employers actually check your credit, and if you have bad credit it can cost you a job.
3) It affects your ability to rent. Landlords also check credit. If you have a low score you pay a higher security deposit, and in many cases you’re flat out rejected.
And 4) It simply limits your access to credit. You can get rejected for mortgages, basic loans, and even credit cards.

oof... i've got my housing settled for another year, gonna try and stack hard this coming year so i can just get the boat already by the end of it and live in that, starting with leaving this island and probably heading west across the atlantic, to maybe mexico and drop anchor in a marina in a small mexican fishing town
i'm quite sick of the stress in my life at the moment, i am getting the feeling that once i've delivered a decent product for my current project i'm going to try and find new work... maybe i can get lucky even with Trump reshoring everything, to get a working visa and actually already move to USA, since after all i am an experienced systems programmer getting to a level i'd call advanced... a job in texas or something would be nice, but i'll not be flying there, i'm taking me and my cat by boat, fuck it, yolo and all that, i can stack enough for a 40 year old boat in good working condition with a diesel engine, a sloop, that will still be mobile even without any fuel
probably would end up selling it at some point after if i manage to get a job somewhere in USA and can physically be at the lab where i will be working
just feeling exhausted today
still gotta do a heap more work as i found a bug in my code and i'm part way done fixing it
