I’m opposed to the US raising funds to buy bitcoin, whether through taxes or any other means. Why? This will put more money in circulation. Bitcoin price will rise, which would have been ok if it were not for the corresponding inflation that went with it.
People will think bitcoin caused inflation and that will get ugly.

I have finally decided upon when I'll be releasing my new song, Freezing the Clock, which will be on May 25 of 2025. I did the work (which I have proof of), and boy is it something I'm proud of.

- I have an *img.zip file downloaded from a repo.
- On NixOS, if I decompress it, then use ```dd``` to write it to an SD Card, it fails to boot on a RaspberryPi.
- On Ubuntu, if I take the same file and flash it using Balena Etcher, it works (Balena takes the zip and decompresses it first).
- I used the same SD Card, and the same USB adapter in both situations--plugged into the same kind of USB port.
Question: why might Balena on Ubuntu work but ```dd``` on NixOS not work?

I still have a busted Lenovo laptop I paid way too much in bitcoin for many years ago that I bought for one of my kids. The screen is mostly dead and the battery is shot. I installed Ubuntu on it and connected it to a display so I could avoid chucking it in an electronics recycling bin. I can’t bring myself to get rid of it knowing how much that bitcoin would be worth now.
