The lack of microbiom diversity is connected with many health issues such as obesity, diabetes (type 1 and 2), cardiovascular disease, cancer, and inflamatory bowel disease.
Also a study show how gut microbes influence brain function and behavior, suggesting a role in neurological and psychiatric conditions.

Im Osten hört man den Ausdruck ab und zu, im Erzgebirge und in Sachsen ist er immerhin noch lebendig, aber was steckt hinter der seltsamen Rückung? Einerseits gehört die Redensart zu den vielen scherzhaften Wendungen kurioser oder absurder Art. „Aussehen wie der Aff’ auf dem Schleifstein“ oder „Schauen wie der Ochs vorm neuen Scheunentor“. Es wird aber noch teuflischer, denn das Kartenspiel spielt hinein. Der Daus ist im deutschen Blatt eine Bezeichnung der höchsten Karte, des As’, und Eichel entspricht als Farbe dem Kreuz im französischen Blatt, so dass es sich also um die höchste Karte im Spiel handelt. Die heißt aber neben „Daus“ auch „Sau“ und oft wurde auf den Karten eine solche abgebildet. Bei der Schellensau ist das noch heute so, denn dort beißt ein Hund ein Wildschwein, dem er auf dem Rücken sitz. Man könnte also auch sagen: „Du schaust wie das Schwein auf der höchsten Karte, wenn es donnert.“ Das heißt natürlich „erschrocken / erstaunt / wie vom Donner gerührt“. Gleichzeitig ist Daus aber auch ein verhüllender Name für den Teufel, wie man ihn noch im Ausruf „Ei, der Daus“ verwendet. Der Teufel hat gleichzeitig mit dem Kartenspiel, da es die Menschen zu unnützem Tun verführt und um Gut und Geld und Verstand bringt, zu tun, genauso mit der Sau, schließlich fahren die ausgetriebenen bösen Dämonen, die Jesus in der Bibel einem Besessenen austreibt, in die Schweine, und schließlich gibt es eine enge Verbindung des Teufels mit dem Donner. Ganz versteckt bedeutet der Spruch also nicht nur, dass sich hier ein Karten-Schwein erschreckt, sondern dass der Teufel selbst erschrickt.
