Het is niet duidelijk of de auto expres inreed op de supporters. Na het incident zou de auto in brand zijn gestoken.

Paris Saint-Germain won gisteravond voor eigen publiek met 2-1 van Arsenal. Daarmee haalde de club voor de tweede keer in de clubgeschiedenis de finale van de Champions League.
In de uren na de wedstrijd waren er veel ongeregeldheden op en rond de Champs-Élysées. Ruiten werden in geslagen en er werd brand gesticht. De politie had rond 01.30 uur negentien mensen aangehouden.
