Bitcoin is a monetary network. If you read ‘The Bitcoin Standard’ from Saifedean Ammous’, he is talking about Bitcoin compared to other forms of money.
Bitcoin should not be only a technical object, where everything which is possible could be done without control. Especially, Bitcoin is not a distributed database where spammers can use any kind of data without control.
OP_RETURN should act as a strong filter.
I stopped running my Bitcoin Core because this team has another view on that: new form of spam or digital art or whatever stored in the Bitcoin block chain is for them a free innovation: I disagree, for a sound money, it’s loss of control, and in the long run, loss of value.
I am now running Bitcoin Knots 🪢 to check the Bitcoin blocks and prevent the chain from becoming a free definitive storage for all the unsolicited ‘creation’ of spammers.

I woke up early today. In an hour I'm going to do blood tests at the hospital. There will be a lot of people, I'll get in line and wait. Then I'll go to the city to run a couple of errands. I've had to do some chores for a while and I chose this morning to do them. So morning of errands. My two women are still sleeping. My dogs too. I wanted to see the sunrise but here in front of my house this morning you can only see black clouds. Black smoke here too! I'm looking at the price of ₿.. I would say heroic even if 1 ₿=1 ₿

I'd like to hear more about the power production/mining side of things. Where we live, you've got to have solar backup because the grid is very unreliable. This means during the day we have excess power probably around 2000 watts excess production for about 6 hours. I've been curious about using this for mining, but I've assumed because it is so little for such a small period of time it couldn't be used for mining.
