I became aware of this when I made an online purchase and everything seemed fine except the order wasn't delivered. When I contacted customer service, they said they want to make sure the order was actually made by the card holder. They suspected fraud because I made the order with a different phone number than the one they had from Apple.

People are leaving SA in numbers to this day, very few move back. I have friends leave yearly.
Problem is it's way too late, those leaving SA now largely haven't realized what Europe is becoming - or Australia or Canada. The time to leave was 2 decades ago. Now it's getting closer to moving back, since Europe hasn't got as much going for it anymore, they just don't know it yet.
But the illegals are flooding in because they are being brought over by largely Jewish NGOs, and then being paid to live here by corrupted politicians. You're speaking like "we" the people are doing and facilitating and supporting it. Very few are seeking asylum, there is a big business of trafficking people over into Europe and the US, not even counting the sex and child trafficking.
European governments have done this. We are all victims of the government no matter where we live.

J'ai arrêté d'exécuter Bitcoin Core parce que cette équipe a une autre vue à ce sujet : une nouvelle forme de spam ou d'art numérique où tout ce qui est stocké dans la chaîne de blocs Bitcoin est pour eux une innovation gratuite : je ne suis pas d'accord, pour un système de monnaie dure, c'est une perte de contrôle et, à long terme, une perte de valeur.
J'exécute maintenant Bitcoin Knots 🪢 pour vérifier les blocs Bitcoin et empêcher la chaîne de blocs Bitcoin de devenir un stockage définitif gratuit pour toute les soit-disant "créations" non sollicitées issues des spammers.

Why don't we only allow a deal between miners and core dev directly to avoid the node voice and verification ? It would be more efficiently and convenient, don't you think ?
The "usage" by miners of the blockchain would perfectly fit the "validation" done by miners too.
It is a question of equality, node must stay independent as miners are as dev are. if one consider the other work just futile it will end with a node that just fit all the shit miner would put on the blockchain.

The simplest thing isn't necessarily the smallest thing. It's the thing that is clearest and easiest to use. Look at the NIP discussion you sent me, and you can see how they pushed all of the complexity into the event, rather than really thinking through the event structure from first principles, and now the events just look random and chaotic.

My Umbrel has been running fine and works well for me. But there are tons of complaints about lack of support on Discord and you should really address that. And also inability to recognize and mount additional internal and external drives on devices other than Home.
