A fé não exclui a razão para se entender a revelação de Deus.
Podemos ver Paulo ensinando que o culto é racional e Deus, em Isaías, chamando os pecadores para arrazoarem com ele.
Então, a revelação de Deus é discernida espiritualmente, sim, mas a razão está presente no processo. Deus escolheu linguagem humana inteligível para se comunicar, senão ele teria usado uma linguagem espiritual que só os espiritualmente hábeis pudessem entender.
E o conteúdo da revelação não é de todo transcendental, pelo contrário, a maior parte dela é histórica e se passa na terra. É diferente de outros livros sagrados que falam apenas do mundo dos deuses.
E quem colocou a razão no ser humano? O próprio Deus. Jesus também é um ser humano racional e inclusive, ao falar sobre temas da Escritura com os mestres da época, perguntou como eles interpretavam a Lei e nunca disse que não deveríamos tirar nossas próprias interpretações, pelo contrário, falando da profecia da destruição de Jerusalém ele disse que Daniel falou da "assolação abominável" e terminou dizendo "quem lê, entenda".
Deus só criticou a sabedoria humana (o conhecimento humano) dizendo que a é louca perante a sabedoria de Deus. Sabedoria não é inteligência (capacidade de entender, interpretar), sabedoria é o que está entendido, e, muitas vezes mal entendido. Jesus quer que abramos mãos de coisas já que já concluímos anteriormente para deixar a razão santificada a Deus preencher as lacunas deixadas pelo conhecimento errado serem preenchidas pela verdade assimilada racionalmente.
O erro se dá quando se mistura sabedoria humana com divina, daí surgem mas interpretações, o problema não é a razão, mas a consideração de pressupostos humanos que a pessoa não quis abandonar.
